Le décor Flora fut l’un des grands succès commerciaux de la manufacture de Creil dans la 2e moitié du 19e siècle. La faïence fine de Creil et Montereau était alors très appréciée, pour sa qualité et son coût, par la population bourgeoise.
Composé de fleurs et feuilles bleues imprimées sous couverte, ce décor a été présenté à l’Exposition Universelle de 1855 à Paris. Les services au motif Flora se déclinent en plusieurs versions. La plus classique se caractérise par des liserons bleus imprimés sur fond blanc. Il existe d’autres versions : au muguet, au houx, à la rose. Très fréquent sur les pièces de table, ce décor est également décliné sur des objets de toilette.
La notoriété du Flora fait qu’il est encore proposé dans le catalogue de 1886 avec la nuance « service Flora ancien » et « service Flora moderne ».
