The Hamage factory, founded in 1896, is a branch of the Saint-Amand earthenware factories. The company then took the name of “Saint Amand et Hamage Nord”.
She moved into a former sugar refinery and distillery in Wandignies-Hamage, located about ten kilometers from Saint-Amand-les-Eaux.
In 1899, it employed nearly 320 workers (up to 700 at the start of the 20th century) and produced nearly 12,000 plates a day.
The production focuses on fine earthenware and common earthenware.
In 1952, the Wandignies-Hamage factories closed their doors.
